Ben Crosland

Born in 1968, Ben started playing piano at age 5. As a teenager, he developed a keen interest in composition and synthesis, and is highly regarded as a sound designer for various instruments, most notably the Access Virus. He began his teaching career in 1987.

Having experimented with various compositional styles over the years, Ben found his true calling as a composer once he started writing educational music for his piano students. Writing mostly in jazz and pop styles, his aim is to create music which students will find both inspiring and achievable, while still being gently challenging and technically beneficial.
Ben lives with his partner and their two daughters in Worcester, England, from where he runs a successful music school.
