Frequent Asked Questions

  • How soon will my score(s) arrive?

It depends on where you live. According to the Post Office Information sheet the average arrival times for Greece is 2 days, Europe 3-4 days and the rest of the world 7-9 days.

  • Can I get my score(s) faster here?

Yes. You can order 'express' which should speed up the process by a few days. If there is a very specific reason you need the scores more quickly you can contact us and we will arrange it.

  • What are the payment options available?

Right now the only option available is through paypal.com. You do not need to be a paypal user, or have an account with paypal, as you may pay as a 'paypal guest'. We are planning to have more options in the future. Please note that no credit card information is given in our own site (www.musica-ferrum.com), and all transactions take place outside our site.

  • What happens if my score(s) arrive damaged? What are your return policies?

Our return policies are quite simple. Just contact us and state the reason you wish to return the score and we will act accordingly. If a score is damaged we will replace it at no extra charge to you. If for other reasons you wish to return the score (there is a 30 day limit from the day the score is shipped) you can do so and we will reimburse the cost of the score.

  • Is there a way to contact the composers?

You can use the contact form available in our website and mention the composers' name in the subject line.

  • What are the performance rights for the works you publish?

Since you've bought the score(s) you are allowed to perform the works wherever you wish. Please keep in mind that Editions Musica Ferrum is registered with a Performance Royalty Organisation, and all the composers are also registered with their respected PROs.

  • Can I use the performances offered in your website, or on youtube/vimeo/facebook/etc?

No, at this point this option is not available. You can contact us about it and perhaps we can find a solution, but right now the current recording offerings are bound by different contracts and different companies, and as such, it's difficult to get a release license for use outside the promotional use that's been done from us.

  • I'm a composer and I would like to submit a score for publication to Editions Musica Ferrum, is this possible?

We welcome all scores from all composers around the globe. Of course we cannot offer any reassurance that your scores will be selected for publication, but we are always looking to expand our rosters with more interesting composers and our publication catalogue with more fascinating works.

Should you decide to contact us for this reason please send over a recording (mockup, live, other... any will do) if available, along with the scores.

We will not share the material you sent us, scores, recordings, video, or other with anyone outside Editions Musica Ferrum, and we will also not share your contact details with anyone outside our publishing house.

Please note that if you decide to send in physical material (printed books, CD, etc) do not send the original works, but copies, as we cannot guarantee the safe return of the material sent. It is better to send us digital files, by e-mailing us on applications@musica-ferrum.com. If you want your material returned, please include a SASE with proper postage and packaging for your material.
